Let Me Go Home...

We went to Leah's beautiful wedding this weekend, and that song played at the reception in the background and I almost started crying. Never in my life have I wanted SO badly to just go home!!! We've been without electricity there since last Thursday. I'm really praying it comes back on very soon. We're staying in Vinton with Kaleb's sister right now, and it's been fun, but I'm just ready for everything to go back to normal again!

We had our first doctor's visit on Friday. That was interesting...things are different, but they're okay so far. Please be praying for out little dot! I'm not as far as we thought I was...probably just 6 weeks when we thought I was 7, but no big deal.

I stayed home from school today because I was super-nauseated for the first time this morning. Not a good idea, though. I feel fine now, and I'm stuck at Clair's house by myself with no vehicle and 3 channels!! What was I thinking???

Go Home Ike--Tina's Not Here!

That was my favorite sign in all this hullabaloo. It was pretty clever, I thought. Ike finally left...with some bad stuff in his wake. I wasn't down here for Rita, so I'd never seen anything like this before. We evacuated to Monroe and came back yesterday to Starks with Kaleb's family. They already had power!! We rode out to check on our house and, after going some alternate routes because of water still being over the roads, found that it was fine!! Some pieces of siding blown off, but nothing major! Praise God!!! There was flooding down all roads leading to our house except one. God is faithful. However, we've heard that quite a few friends of ours have lost everything in the flooding in Bridge City. I cannot imagine how that must be. Most of them had to be rescued from their attics because of all the water in their houses. Please be praying for these families.

Knocked Up.

Well...after trying for less than 2 months, Kaleb and I are pregnant! I'm in my 6th week, due in the middle of May. How exciting!!!
