Twilight

So today, exactly one week after I opened Twilight, I finished Breaking Dawn. During that week, I fell in love with Bella, Edward, and Jacob (and Renesmee), became completely obsessed with anything Twilight-related, and have tried to get every girl I know to read at least the first book (and successfully hooked one of them). I have laughed, cried, and totally immersed myself into this story. I am pretty sure I thought I was Bella, which makes me think that Stephenie Meyer did an amazing job of writing. I was pretty embarrassed that I got so into these YA books, but I couldn't help it! I am in dire need of discussing them with someone. Especially Breaking Dawn! So hurry it up, Leslie!!! No one else I know has read them!

I am actually kind of ready for school to start. I never thought I'd say that...but I am. I think I might go up tomorrow and do some work in my classroom. I want to do a lot more in the decorations department than I did last year. So, if anyone still reads this, I am open to some math-y suggestions!!

I totally forgot to tell you that I finished late Thursday night. Sorry! I've been so busy. You think you got into it...I picked up my niece the other day and she put her hands on my face. I braced myself for what she might "show" me. Are you kidding me??? I'm thinking that my niece is a vampire! I'm so weird.

I am sad they are over too. Now I don't know what to read. With school starting though I'm sure I won't get to read as much.

I've thought about your decorating question. I think you need to choose a theme and go from there. I did a nature them this year. I have lots of lady bugs and bumblebees. I have a huge tree, clouds, etc. One year I did sports and we talked about teamwork all year and we called TAKS the super bowl. I've seen cute animal print themes, like a jungle room. I've seen apples done A LOT. One of our teachers here did a beach theme. She has a huge umbrella they sit under for reading and tons of floaties and stuff. Just an idea...

I bought the tree at Mannings. I had the clouds from some other something. (Code for: I have no idea where I got them.) I made clouds using quilting batting though and they were AWESOME.

I know what you mean about stealing ideas. I'm all about it. You have the obvious "Wild About ___" (insert math word) One teacher that was here last year and did the animal print thing wound brown butcher paper in to words. It looked like a big vine that spelled out "word wall." If you do a leopard print you could to "We're Spot On". Throw in monkeys and you can be "hanging on to ___." I'll try to think more today and let you know. I'm about to send my new school email to you via your other emails.
